As a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend and professional woman, I know how hard it is to prioritize your own health. In all honesty, I am pretty bad at it. Cue video to the left <<< Watch It!
Yet, given what I do every day working with public health organizations all over the country, I know how important it is to check in, and check up on your health before problems arise.
This year, I've joined the Executive Leadership Team at American Heart Association to remind me and to share the message that we all have to make space and time to take care of ourselves.
In partnership with my team at Rescue Agency, we want to shine a spotlight on how AHA is working to reduce health disparities and help women who may not have space, time or resources to prioritize themselves. They are making a $230 million in equitable health programs. Through research and community based programming, they will address barriers to health equity including structural racism, social factors that hurt people’s health, and threats to rural health.
We're making a commitment of at least $5,000 and hope to top that. And, we hope you'll join me with a donation of any amount as a pledge to your own health. And, to the health of women who need our help.
Keep you and your heart healthy, All of us at Rescue
